Modify collective insurance

When you are insured with Menzis through your employer, your collective insurance will change when

• you change employer. Congratulations on your new job! Will you stay collectively insured with Menzis at your new job? Please inform us within 30 days after you have started working at your new employer.

• you stop working. You may be interested in keeping the benefits of a collective insurance. Menzis has made agreements with different charity organisations, sports institutions and support associations. Find out which organisations are involved. Want to make a switch? Please inform us within 30 days after your employment has ended. 

If you cannot or do not want to participate in a collective insurance, you must apply for a private insurance.

Would you like to switch to another organization or collective insurance through your employer? Switching is possible as of January 1st of the new year. 

Switching during the year to another collective insurance for members or through your employer? This is only possible if your membership with the organization ends prematurely. Please inform us within 30 days after the end of your membership. 

Are you

• starting a new job? When your new employer offers you a collective insurance with Menzis and you want to switch, you can apply within 30 days after your first working day. Your collective insurance will apply from the date you started your new job.
• currently insured as a member of an organisation with another insurer? If you want to switch to a collective insurance with Menzis, your insurance will come into effect on January 1 of the following year. 

Apply for a collective insurance

• Can you apply for a collective insurance because your new employer is offering this option, for example? Inform us within 30 days after your first working day. Your collective insurance will apply from the date you started your new job.

• You can also apply for a collective insurance through your employer if you have been employed for a while. Your insurance will apply from the first day of the next month after we received your application.

• Do you want to apply for the collective insurance through an organisation? The effective date of your collective insurance will depend on your current additional insurance.

  • Can your current additional insurance be combined with a collective insurance or do you currently not have an additional insurance? Then you can participate as from the first day of the next month after we received your application.
  • If your current additional insurance cannot be combined with a collective insurance? Then you can apply for the collective insurance as of Prinsjesdag (third Tuesday of September). Your collective insurance will come into effect on 1 January of the next year.
