How do I modify my health insurance?

Somtimes you can modify your insurance during the year: 

When your child turns 9 years old

You can then modify the dental insurance of your child. Orthodontics is subject to a waiting period of one year. Does your child need braces? Then it is wise to register your child at the age of 9. Up to the age of 10, the insurance is free of charge. 

When your child turns 10 years old

You can then modify the dental insurance of your child. Orthodontics is subject to a waiting period of one year.

When you turn 18 years old

You can then modify: 

• Basic health insurance
• Additional insurance
• Dental insurance
• Voluntary deductible

 You can also apply for your own health insurance.

Please note: report the modification at the latest in the month following your or your child's birthday. The modification will take effect on the first day of the month following your or your child's birthday. 

What do you want to modify?

• Collective insurance
• Cancel health insurance

Important dates

• 31 December: You can cancel your health care insurance up to 31 December.
• 1 January: Start date of your (new) insurance.
