Are you going to a contracted care provider or to a non-contracted care provider? What is the difference and what will you be reimbursed? Let us explain.
Benefits of contracted care
There are advantages if you go to a healthcare provider with whom we have a contract. Agreements have then been made about the quality of care or, for example, about the waiting times. The healthcare provider adheres to these agreements. And the bill always goes directly to Menzis. So you don't have to pay anything yourself first. We make agreements with many healthcare providers. In the Zorgvinder (Dutch only) you can see which healthcare providers we have a contract with.
To a non-contracted healthcare provider
Do you have Menzis Basis or Menzis Basis Voordelig and do you want to go to a care provider with whom Menzis does not have a contract? Then Menzis will reimburse the costs up to a maximum amount. The exact reimbursement depends on your Basic Insurance and the type of care.
