Are you already insured with Menzis? If so, as soon as you turn 18 and have your own health insurance policy, you can easily add the group plan through My Menzis. Having trouble? Please contact our customer service. 

* With supplemental insurance, you're covered for healthcare costs that aren't reimbursed by the Basic Health Insurance. These include physical therapy, eyeglasses and contact lenses, emergency care abroad, and dental care. Within the Studenten Goed Verzekerd plan, you can choose from four supplemental insurance plans (ExtraVerzorgd 1, 2 and 3 and JongerendVerzorgd) and three dental insurance plans. Would you like a combined supplemental and dental insurance plan in one? Then choose JongerenVerzorgd. 

Tip: Don't forget to apply for healthcare benefit

Healthcare benefit can help you pay for (a large) portion of your health insurance. The Tax Administration pays the healthcare benefit. The amount depends on your income. You must apply for healthcare benefit yourself. Visit the Tax Administration's website for more information. 

Students Well Insured - Recommended by LSVb, ISO, and JOBmbo

The Interstedelijk Studenten Overleg (ISO) and the Landelijke Studentenvakbond (LSVb) are two student organizations that advocate for students and higher education at the national level. Because there was no adequate health insurance available for students, they launched the Students Well Insured health insurance collective in 2006 for students at colleges and universities. In 2025, JOBmbo also joined the collective. This health insurance plan is therefore tailored to your needs as a student. Students Well Insured is administered by Menzis.
